The wiper action on my Wedge has never been very good, and on one recent outing in the TVR, I got caught in a very bad downpour. The wipers literally could not keep up with the rain, and I could not see a thing!

A friend of mine suggested that I try Rain-X rain repellant. After application, the product creates a non-stick, slick coating on the glass, causing the water to instantly bead and run-off. Rather sceptical, I tried the stuff and to my surprise it does exactly what it says on the bottle.

When travelling along at any speed, the water simply runs straight off the screen, keeping it clear. You can literally drive along without hardly using the wipers at all. When you stop the water does gather a little bit, but is instantly cleared again when you continue on, helped by the wedge's steeply raked windscreen.

This product is excellent, if you do use your TVR in the rain (perish the thought!) I can recommend Rain-X.

Rain-X can be purchased from any large 'car store'. I purchased mine from Halfords and it cost £5.99 for a 200ml bottle.
