For Track day enthusiasts - 03/02/03Not ones for letting the grass grow under their feet, ACT Performance Products can now supply top quality Stainless steel light weight trackday silencers, suitable for TVRs and infact can be adapted to fit most other cars. They are currently available for £45 each or can be hired for £10 per week. They have straight through mufflers and the units are supplied ready to clamp onto the car's tail pipes, Tim reckons that they reduce noise output from the car by around 6 Dba. Also newly available from ACT to compliment their existing range of SAMCO hoses are a range of V8 engine breather hose kits (the ones that vent the rocker cover to the plenum). Also available are florosilicone lined silicone fuel hoses made from high quality fuel grade silicone, available in the same colours as the other SAMCO hoses (Blue, Purple, Green, Yellow & Red).
ACT also carry stocks
of individual hoses, for example a replacement for convoluted inlet pipe
from air flow meter to plenum. For more info call ACT on 020 8715 3160 you could also e-mail the man himself timlamont@actproducts.co.uk or visit the Act website at: www.actproducts.co.uk |

Back on the Case 2003! - 05/01/03After a long, hard and sometimes painful (and not to mention expensive) uphill struggle I have finally finished renovating my new house and completed my house move If I see the inside of one more B&Q I will scream! I can now officially say however that I am back on the case with this website. You may have noticed that some of the features and classifieds have not changed in quite a number of months this situation thankfully is about to change! I have started to update the numerous classified and wanted adverts that have been sent in - but I could always do with more so if you have something TVR Wedge related to sell, then bang over your advert and I will get it in. I also have several excellent articles and interesting features to add in the next few weeks so please keep tuning in. If you have something that you might think other Wedge owners or enthusiasts might be interested in then please send it over and I will do my best to put it online. I can accept digital pics and text via e-mail (or CD) or if you prefer you can send me good old photographs and the words scribbled on a piece of paper, my new address is posted under the Contact Page.
On another subject, I actually had time to go for a blat in my 350i for the first time in months and the old beastie did not disappoint! After months of driving around in my everyday Ford Fiesta you forget how different, exciting and LOUD the Wedge cars actually are.
After a brisk drive up into the Brecon Beacons National Park culminating in a burger and hot tea half way up a mountain in the snow (with the roof off) - it all comes back to you! My hands stopped shaking long enough to take some pics (above). I enjoyed my drive, I hope you enjoy the site, if you do then please spread the word. |
